• The accuracy, completeness, truthfulness, or reliability of any Third-Party Content
• Misinformation, disinformation, or fake news published by third-party sources
• Defamatory, hateful, discriminatory, or unlawful content published by third parties
• Editorial decisions made by third-party publishers
• Any harm, loss, or damage arising from reliance on Third-Party Content
• Political bias, partisan framing, or factual errors in third-party articles

Deemona's AI-generated bias scores and fact-check labels are automated, experimental, and do not constitute professional fact-checking or editorial review. They should not be relied upon as definitive assessments.

3. Permitted Use

You may use the Service for lawful, personal, non-commercial news reading and discovery. You may:

• Browse, read, and share links to articles through the Service
• Create a personal account to access additional features
• Use the Service on any personal device

You may not:

• Scrape, crawl, or systematically download content from the Service without written permission
• Use automated bots, scripts, or tools to access the Service at scale
• Reproduce, republish, or redistribute Third-Party Content in bulk
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract our AI models or proprietary algorithms
• Create accounts using false identity or impersonate any person or organisation
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Use the Service to distribute spam, malware, or harmful content
• Circumvent any security features or access controls

4. Intellectual Property

Third-Party Content: All news articles, headlines, images, and media aggregated from external sources remain the exclusive intellectual property of the original publishers. Deemona claims no ownership over any Third-Party Content. Nothing in these Terms grants you any licence to use, reproduce, or distribute Third-Party Content beyond reading it through the Service.

Deemona's Intellectual Property: The Deemona platform, software, design, AI models, bias scores, transparency reports, logos, and trademarks are the intellectual property of Deemona Global News Agency and are protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may not use, copy, or reproduce any of these without our express written permission.

Feedback: If you submit feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant Deemona a perpetual, royalty-free licence to use that feedback without restriction or compensation to you.

Specifically, Deemona is not liable for:

• Any loss or damage arising from misinformation, fake news, or inaccurate content published by third-party sources
• Any harm arising from editorial decisions made by third-party publishers
• Any financial loss arising from reliance on market data displayed on the Service
• Any harm arising from AI bias scores or fact-check labels that are inaccurate
• Any loss of data, profits, or business arising from Service downtime or unavailability

Where liability cannot be excluded by law, Deemona's total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed INR 1,000 (one thousand Indian Rupees) or the equivalent in your local currency.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Deemona and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party right; or (d) any content you submit to the Service.

8. Financial Data Disclaimer

Market data (cryptocurrency prices, stock indices, foreign exchange rates) displayed on Deemona is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute financial advice, investment advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell any financial instrument.

Market data may be delayed, inaccurate, or unavailable. Deemona is not a registered financial advisor, broker, or investment firm. Always consult a qualified financial professional before making investment decisions. Deemona accepts no liability for financial losses arising from reliance on market data displayed on the Service.

9. User Accounts

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account
• You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of others without authorisation
• Accounts found to be used for abuse, spam, or in violation of these Terms will be terminated without notice
• You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page

10. Termination

Deemona reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without notice, if we determine that:

• You have violated these Terms
• Your use of the Service poses a security risk or legal liability
• Continued provision of the Service to you is no longer commercially viable

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive.

11. Third-Party Links and Services

The Service contains links to third-party websites and content. These links are provided for convenience only. Deemona does not control, endorse, or accept responsibility for any third-party websites or content. Your use of third-party websites is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Deemona is not liable for any harm arising from your use of third-party websites.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act 2000, the Consumer Protection Act 2019, and applicable international law. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved as follows:

• First, by good-faith negotiation between the parties
• If unresolved within 30 days, by binding arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996 (India)
• Arbitration shall be conducted in English in New Delhi, India
• The courts of New Delhi, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction for any matter not subject to arbitration

13. Changes to Terms

Deemona reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified to Registered Users by email at least 14 days before taking effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not accept the changes, you must discontinue use of the Service and delete your account.

14. Entire Agreement and Severability

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and Deemona regarding your use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

15. User Comments and Community Content

Where the Service permits you to post comments, perspectives, ratings, or other community content, you remain solely responsible for the content you post. By posting, you confirm that your content:

• Does not infringe any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other legal rights
• Is not defamatory, hateful, harassing, obscene, or unlawful
• Does not contain misinformation presented as fact
• Complies with our published Community Guidelines and moderation policy

Deemona does not pre-screen community content but reserves the right to remove, hide, or restrict any content, and to suspend or terminate the posting privileges of any user, at its sole discretion and without prior notice, where content is flagged, reported, or otherwise found to violate these Terms or applicable law. Comments may be reviewed by automated moderation tools and human moderators.

You may report content you believe violates these Terms using the in-product reporting tools, or by contacting grievance@deemona.com. Deemona is not liable for user-generated comments and community content, consistent with its status as an intermediary under Section 79 of the Information Technology Act 2000.

16. Force Majeure

Deemona shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance of the Service to the extent such failure or delay is caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government action or regulation, pandemic or public health emergency, labour disputes, internet or telecommunications failures, failures of third-party hosting or cloud infrastructure providers, power outages, or cyberattacks against Deemona or its infrastructure providers. During any such event, Deemona's obligations under these Terms shall be suspended for the duration of the event, and Deemona will take reasonable steps to resume the Service as soon as practicable.
